3 main objectives of the Padyatra:
- 1. To identify the right people at the grass root level with the help of society and to bring them on a democratic platform.
- 2. To better understand the local problems, possibilities and priorities of the cities and panchayats and make a blueprint for their development.
- 3. To prepare a vision document for the next 15 years based on the suggestions of experts and people in important areas such as education, health, employment, economic, development, agriculture, industry and social justice for the overall development of Bihar.
