Jan Suraaj Young Leaders Program
At the Jan Suraaj Young Leaders Program (“JSYLP”), we believe that transformational change occurs when the right people (Sahi Log), right thinking (Sahi Soch), and collective action (Saamuhik Prayaas) come together. JSYLP is a one-of-a-kind experiential learning opportunity for selected young individuals to work towards strengthening India’s democratic fabric. There are 3 primary objectives of JSYLP:
- 1. To identify the right people at the grassroots level with the help of society and to provide them with a common democratic platform.
- 2. To better understand the local problems and opportunities and on this basis, list the priorities of the towns and panchayats to prepare a blueprint for their holisitc development.
- 3. To prepare a vision document for the next fifteen years in important fields such as education, health, employment, economy, development, agriculture, industry, and social justice, based on aggregated public feedback and expert inputs.
